Across the United States, there are various casinos in a wide range of sizes from the small casinos owned by Native Americans to the large corporate owned casinos. Of all the places in America, Las Vegas is the most well known for its numerous casinos. When looking at the top five casinos in the United States, it is no surprise that many are located on the Vegas Strip. However, many other people are surprised to discover that some are in fact not in Vegas.
One of the top American casinos is the Wynn Las Vegas. Located right on the Vegas strip, the venue not only features a casino but a resort as well. The casino itself measure 111,000 square feet. This covers 215 acres of land and has 45 floors with 2,716 rooms. A convention center and shopping area is another addition to the casino.
Another well known American casino is the Bellagio. Also, located in the heart of Vegas on the strip, the Bellagio was built to mirror the same location in Ital. Perhaps best known for its fabulous synchronized light and fountain show, the Bellagio is also the home to a casino that attracts high roller from across the globe. It also features a spectator event that is referred to as the big game with a large dollar limit in the thousands.
A third popular American casino is the MGM Grand Hotel and Casino. This features the second largest hotel in the world. Providing lodging to those on the Vegas Strip, the MGM also features an exciting casino. Guests of the MGM can find 16 different restaurant choices as well as many different night clubs and retail areas.
One of the top five casinos is not located in Vegas but actually the Northeastern state of Connecticut. The Foxwoods Resort is nestled in the city of Mashantucket. Here the casino is the largest in the United States. The Foxwoods has a distinct difference from the Vegas Casinos. The Foxwoods is less a tourist site and more of a casino. In fact, is it the only casino found in the Northeastern United States. A fifth popular casino is Borgata Casino which is located in Atlantic City, New Jersey, one of the best found here.
